Vintage Dessert Plate Gien Les tartes "Tarte aux Myrtilles"

This is a vintage dessert plate from the Gien faience factory's Les Tartes series.

The tart pattern series was designed for Gien by Marie-Pierre Boitard.
There are six types of tart series in total. The different designs for each fruit are very charming and appealing.
This one is "Tarte aux Myrtilles" (blueberry tart).
The rim features a rhythmic fruit garland, and the center design evokes a peaceful picnic.

The intricate design is charming, reminiscent of wallpaper in an old French farmhouse.

This is a wonderful dessert plate that you'll want to display on a wall or in a plate stand. The backstamp on the reverse side also has a cute design, so please be sure to check it out.

Condition: There is some crazing and a few spots where the glaze has peeled off the rim, but it is in relatively good condition.
