Vintage dessert plate Gien Les tartes "Tarte aux Pommes"

This is a vintage dessert plate from the Gien faience factory, part of the "Les Tartes" (Tarts) series.

The tart-themed series was designed for Gien by Marie-Pierre Boitard.
There are six types in the tart series, and the different designs for each fruit are very charming and appealing.
This one is "Tarte aux Pommes" (Apple Tart).
The rim features a rhythmic garland of fruit, and the well of the plate evokes a serene picnic scene.

It's a lovely dessert plate that you'll want to display by hanging it on a wall or propping it on a plate stand. Be sure to check out the charming design of the back stamp as well.

Condition: There is crazing, but no chips or cracks, making it in very good condition.
