The highly popular Obernai series was designed by Henry Loux, an artist from the Alsace region of France.
It vividly depicts the beautiful streets and everyday life of Alsace.
This dessert plate depicts a serene scene of a woman and child in traditional Alsatian costume walking down a road, with a church featuring white walls and a striking red roof on a hill in the background.
It's a heartwarming design that evokes a sense of nostalgia. (Note: This design also has a variation where the illustration is mirrored horizontally.)
Surrounding the central illustration, the rim is adorned with beautiful bouquets and ribbons, making it a gorgeous piece highly popular among collectors.
