Vintage Dessert Plate Digoin & Sarreguemines Obernai 1-D
This is a vintage dessert plate from the Digoin & Sarreguemines factory, from the Obernai series.
The highly popular Obernai series was designed by Henry Loux, a painter from the Alsace region of France, and depicts vibrant scenes of the beautiful streets and daily life of Alsace.
This dessert plate depicts a serene scene of a woman and child in traditional Alsatian costumes walking along a road, with a church with white walls and a striking red roof on a hill in the background. It is a heartwarming design that evokes a sense of nostalgia (this design is a variation with the pattern reversed left to right). Adorned with beautiful bouquets and ribbon decorations around the central pattern, it is a splendid and highly sought-after collector's item.
It can be enjoyed as tableware to brighten up your dining table, or as an interior decoration displayed in a cabinet.
