This is a vintage dessert plate from the Digoin & Sarreguemines (Obernai) series.
The highly popular Obernai series was designed by Henry Loux, a painter from the Alsace region of France.
It vividly depicts the beautiful townscapes and daily life of Alsace.
This dessert plate features a shepherd in traditional black attire, walking with a large flock of sheep under a vast sky.
In the background, timber-framed houses spread out, creating a peaceful, pastoral design. (Note: This design is a variation with the pattern horizontally flipped.)
Surrounding the central illustration, the rim is adorned with beautiful bouquets and ribbons, making it a gorgeous and highly sought-after piece by collectors.
It can be used as tableware to brighten up your dining table or displayed in a cabinet as a decorative interior piece.
Condition: No signs of use, chips, or cracks; in excellent condition.
