Vintage Dessert Plate Digoin & Sarreguemines Obernai 4-A

This is a vintage dessert plate from the Digoin & Sarreguemines factory, from the Obernai series.

The highly popular Obernai series was designed by Henry Loux, a painter from the Alsace region of France.
It vividly depicts the beautiful streetscapes and daily life of Alsace.

This dessert plate features a charming scene of a woman in traditional Alsatian costume gently watching over a flock of geese with outstretched wings by the water.
The background shows expansive pastures, evoking a feeling of open countryside. (Note: This design also has a mirrored variation.)
Surrounding the central illustration, the rim is adorned with beautiful bouquets and ribbons, making it a splendid and highly sought-after piece among collectors.

It can be enjoyed as tableware to brighten up your dining table, or as a decorative item displayed in a cabinet.

Condition: No signs of use, chips, or cracks, in excellent condition.
