Vintage Dessert Plate Digoin & Sarreguemines Obernai 5

This is a vintage dessert plate from the Digoin & Sarreguemines pottery, part of their Obernai series.

The highly popular Obernai series was designed by Henry Loux, a painter from the Alsace region of France.
It vividly depicts the beautiful townscapes and daily life scenes of Alsace.

This dessert plate features a rustic timber-framed house nestled against a rock face at the foot of a mountain, surrounded by stone walls.
The imposing stone gates and walls, reminiscent of an ancient castle, deeply express the historical scenery of Alsace.
Adorning the rim around the central illustration are beautiful floral bouquets and ribbon decorations, making this a splendid and highly sought-after collector's item.

It can be enjoyed not only as tableware to adorn your dining table but also as a decorative item displayed in a cabinet.
