Vintage Deep Plate Digoin & Sarreguemines Mary-Lou 1B

This is a vintage deep plate from the Digoin & Sarreguemines pottery, part of the Mary-Lou series.

Its charm lies in the carefully hand-painted floral pattern on a warm, creamy white background.
The back is stamped "Peint à la main" (hand-painted), and the varying pigment intensity, color overlaps, and brushstrokes reveal the gentle, handcrafted character.
The round, plump flowers are adorable, evoking a rustic and pretty atmosphere, as if from the French countryside (campagne).

The rim features a vibrant blue brushstroke pattern, hand-painted, which keeps the overall design from being indistinct and gives it a nicely defined look.

Condition: There are small glaze chips on the rim, but no noticeable chips or cracks, and minimal signs of use, indicating it is in very good condition.

Period: 1920s-1960s
