Vintage Deep Plate, Digoin & Sarreguemines "Mary-Lou" (2B)

This is a vintage deep plate from the Digoin & Sarreguemines factory, from the Mary-Lou series.

Its charm lies in the meticulously hand-painted floral patterns on a warm, creamy white background.
The reverse side bears the stamp "Peint à la main" (hand-painted), and the varying pigment intensity, overlapping colors, and brushstrokes reveal a gentle, handmade texture.
The plump, rounded flowers are endearing, evoking a rustic and charming atmosphere, much like the French countryside (campagne).

The rim features hand-painted vibrant blue brushstrokes, which prevent the overall design from appearing indistinct and instead create a well-defined impression.

Condition: There is slight crazing on the rim, but no chips or cracks, and very little signs of use, making it in excellent condition.

Period: 1920s to 1960s
