This is a vintage plate from the Messidor series by Digoin & Sarreguemines.

Messidor is the "harvest month" in the French Republican Calendar, signifying the season of abundance (mid-June to mid-July in the Gregorian calendar).

Fresh early summer flora are depicted vividly, as if breathing, on the pristine, lustrous ceramic surface.
Warm, golden wheat ears, large, vibrant pink-tinged flowers, and deep, clear blue cornflowers.

This luxurious piece combines the soft texture of stenciling with the exquisite hand-painting of artisans.
The delicate brushwork, color variations, and subtle fading on each plate preserve the artisan's touch, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike.

The flora gracefully depicted along the rim resemble a beautiful, unfading "floral wreath."
The balance between the bold negative space on the right half and the single blue line that ties the entire piece together is very modern, instantly brightening any table setting.

It possesses an artistic quality akin to a painting, with an overwhelming presence that makes you want to display it in a cabinet.
