This is a vintage plate from the Messidor series by Digoin & Sarreguemines.

Messidor is the "harvest month" in the French Republican Calendar, the season of abundance (mid-June to mid-July in the current calendar).

Vivid early summer flora are depicted on the white, lustrous ceramic surface, as if breathing.
Warm, golden wheat ears, large, vibrant pink flowers, and deep, clear blue cornflowers (bleuets).

This is a luxurious piece that combines the soft texture of stenciling with the exquisite hand-painting of artisans.
The delicate brushstrokes, color variations, and faded effects in each piece embody the artisan's breath, making each one unique.

The flora gracefully depicted along the rim resemble a beautiful, unfading "floral wreath."
The balance between the boldly empty space on the right half and the single blue line that ties the whole piece together is very modern, and simply placing it on the table brightens the space instantly.

It possesses an artistic quality like a painting, with an overwhelming presence that makes you want to display it in a cabinet.
