Vintage Digoin & Sarreguemines Messidor Salad Bowl
This is a vintage Messidor series salad bowl from the Digoin & Sarreguemines pottery factory.
The motif of a fresh, idyllic landscape with a "harvest moon" theme is boldly painted around the outside of the bowl.
When placed on the table, the vivid poppies and ears of wheat on the side instantly catch the eye, making the dining table even more vibrant and lively.
On the white, lustrous ceramic surface, the powerful, confident brushstrokes of the artisan remain as hand-painting.
Because it is a deep bowl, its bold pattern harmonizes beautifully, creating a magnificent presence that is picturesque from any angle.
It's the perfect size for a hearty summer vegetable salad or for serving plenty of fresh, uncut fruit.
It can also be used for various purposes, such as casually holding freshly baked bread or serving a main dish for entertaining a large group.
Even when not in use, this antique piece brightens up any space just by being placed in the kitchen or on a sideboard, making it a true centerpiece.
[Condition] There are small scratches on the rim and some signs of use, but there are no chips or cracks, and it is in very good condition.
[Size] Diameter approx. 20.5 cm x Height approx. 9 cm
