This is a vintage deep plate from the Messidor series by Digoin & Sarreguemines.

"Messidor" refers to the "harvest month" in the French Republican Calendar, a season of abundance (mid-June to mid-July in the current calendar).

Fresh early summer flora are vibrantly depicted on the lustrous white ceramic surface, as if breathing.
Golden ears of wheat radiate warmth, large flowers bloom in vivid pink, and deep, clear blue cornflowers (bleuet) complete the scene.

This luxurious piece combines the soft texture of stenciling with the exceptional hand-painting of skilled artisans.
The delicate brushwork, variations in color intensity, and subtle fading on each piece directly reflect the artisan's touch, making every plate unique.

The flora gracefully extends along the rim, resembling an everlasting, beautiful "floral wreath."
The balance between the boldly empty space on the right half and the single blue line that ties the whole together is remarkably modern, instantly brightening any table setting.

It possesses an artistic quality akin to a painting, with such an overwhelming presence that you'll want to display it in a cabinet.
