Vintage Digoin & Sarreguemines Saucier - Trianon
This is a vintage sauce boat from the Trianon series by Digoin & Sarreguemines.
The Chic Monochrome Aesthetic
The base ceramic is a creamy ivory that has deepened with age. Delicate patterns are applied with black transfer print. This monochrome contrast creates a classical yet modern impression.
The Romantic Worldview of Trianon
As the series name "Trianon" suggests, the design features landscapes and motifs inspired by the Trianon palaces and gardens of Versailles.
In addition to landscapes, elegant floral motifs and charming little birds are arranged, making the entire dish tell a story, much like a Toile de Jouy fabric.
Condition: There are two chips on the rim of the base, but they do not affect the front. There is also a chip on the rim of the bowl, but it is glazed.
Aside from some crazing and minor stains, it remains in relatively good condition.
Size: Approximately 26.7cm x 17.5cm, Height approximately 11cm
Period: 1920-1960
