Vintage Soup Tureen (no lid) Digoin & Sarreguemines Trianon
This is a vintage soupiere (without lid) from the Digoin & Sarreguemines pottery, in the Trianon series.
Chic monochrome aesthetic
The base ceramic is a creamy ivory that has deepened with age. Delicate patterns are applied in black transfer print. This monochrome contrast gives it a classical yet modern impression.
Romantic Trianon world view
As the series name "Trianon" suggests, the design features landscapes and motifs inspired by the Trianon Palace and its gardens at the Palace of Versailles.
In addition to landscape paintings, elegant floral motifs and lovely birds are arranged, and the entire tableware tells a story as if it were a toile de Jouy fabric.
Condition: The lid is missing, and there is some slight crazing, but there is almost no sign of use, and it is in good condition with no chips or cracks.
Size: Approximately 30cm including handles x approximately 22cm mouth diameter x approximately 13.5cm height
Period: 1920s to 1960s
