【Vintage】A.Dressinval | Gold-Decorated Cup & Saucer (1950s-70s)

This is a jewel-toned cup and saucer by A. Dressinval, a ceramist from Burgundy, France.
These highly artistic vintage pieces were handmade one by one between the 1950s and 1970s.

The greatest charm of this series is the striking contrast between the vivid colors and the delicate gold ornamentation dancing on top of them.

The dynamism of hand-painting: The intricate gold decorations on the inside and outside of the cup and on the saucer are all hand-painted by the artist.
The subtle variations in line thickness and brushstrokes in each piece reveal the artist's touch.

Memories of the Vineyard: The swirling circular patterns evoke the vineyards, a specialty of his homeland, Burgundy.

Condition: Some areas of the gold decoration are thin, and there are several tiny chips on the rim of the cup, but as a vintage item, it generally retains a lustrous and good condition.
