Vintage Cannister, Grigny, Farine (Flour)
This is a vintage "Farine" (flour) canister from the Labrut & Cie Grigny kiln.
The Labrut & Cie Grigny kiln operated near Lyon from the late 19th to mid-20th century.
This particular piece, a spice canister, was made in the mid-20th century.
It features an adorable design with a delicate, multicolored bouquet scattered across its pale ivory ceramic surface.
An elegant gilt line adorns the bottom, and the word "Farine" (flour) is gracefully inscribed in the center.
It embodies the warmth of a good old French home, characteristic of the Grigny kiln.
Condition: There is overall crazing, characteristic of vintage items, giving it a deep antique look.
There is a hairline crack at the bottom, but it is not noticeable. It looks beautiful.
