Vintage Oval Platter Limoges GDA Chaux de Fonds
This is a vintage Limoges GDA ravière from the Chaux de Fonds series.
GDA stands for the initials of Gerard, Dufraissex et Abbot.
It is a porcelain ravière.
The "Chaux-de-fonds" series is named after the city famous for its watchmaking industry in Switzerland,
and it is believed that the design was inspired by this location.
It features delicate floral patterns reminiscent of the Rococo style and elegant curved reliefs,
with the gilded rim in particular evoking the lavish banquets of the aristocracy of the time.
At first glance, the color scheme and design are charming, reminiscent of Marie Antoinette.
Condition: There are no chips or cracks, and it is in excellent condition with almost no signs of use.
