Vintage Plate Limoges GDA Chaux de Fonds B
This is a vintage plate from the Limoges GDA kiln, part of the Chaux de Fonds series.
GDA stands for the initials of Gerard, Dufraissex, and Abbot.
It is a porcelain plate.
The "Chaux-de-fonds" series is named after a city famous for its watchmaking industry in Switzerland,
and it is believed to have been designed with inspiration from this location.
It features delicate floral patterns reminiscent of the Rococo style and gracefully curved reliefs,
with the gilded rim particularly evoking the lavish banquets of aristocrats from that era.
At first glance, its color scheme and design are appealing, reminiscent of Marie Antoinette.
Condition: There are no chips or cracks, and it is in extremely good condition with almost no signs of use.
