Vintage Limoges Plate GDA Chaux de Fonds
This is a vintage plate from the Limoges GDA kiln, part of the Chaux de Fonds series.
GDA stands for the initials of Gerard, Dufraissex, and Abbot.
It is a porcelain plate.
The "Chaux-de-fonds" series is named after the city famous for its watchmaking industry in Switzerland,
and is believed to have been designed with inspiration from this place.
It features delicate floral patterns reminiscent of Rococo style and gracefully curved reliefs,
especially the gilded rim, which evokes the opulent banquets of the nobility of that era.
At first glance, the color palette and design are reminiscent of Marie Antoinette, making it a charming piece.
Condition: No chips or cracks, and very good condition with almost no signs of use.
