This is a vintage barbotine plate from Gien.

A unique woodgrain barbotine.

The design, resembling a view looking down into a wine barrel, reveals the maker's playful spirit. Slight variations in color created by the glaze application make it look just like real wood grain.

Condition: Some crazing is visible and there is a chip on the rim.
