This vintage plate is from HBCM (Hippolyte Boulenger Creil-Montereau), a French ceramics manufacturer.
The backstamp clearly shows the series name "SERVICE TOLGA" and "H.B.C.M. FRANCE", indicating the plate's origin (see image for reference).
Features of the Tolga series
The rim is adorned with exotic botanical/geometric patterns of plants and flowers, rendered with delicate lines and dots.
The vibrant blue transfer print creates a sophisticated French chic dining experience.
The HBCM pottery is a historic kiln that merged with Choisy-le-Roi in 1920 and continued production until 1955.
This plate is a valuable piece made between the 1920s and 1950s, during its heyday.
Condition: Craquelure has spread throughout due to age, but it remains in good condition with no chips or cracks.
