Vintage plate, Longchamp, Poisson Brochet (Pike)
This is the "poisson" (fish) series from the LONGCHAMP pottery.
This particular fish is a "Brochet" (pike).
Pike are widely found in Europe. They are large fish, growing over a meter long, and are characterized by their spotted bodies.
The design, depicting the elegant, leisurely swimming fish, is powerful.
The rim of the square plate features gold gilding with patterns of aquatic plants and seaweed, beautifully framing the vibrantly depicted fish.
These "poisson" (fish) patterns are gaining renewed attention in France and are becoming a popular series.
It's also lovely to display them on open shelves, in kitchen spaces, or on your favorite wall.
Please enjoy it in your preferred setting.
Condition: There is a chip on the back rim, but it does not affect the front. It is in good condition with no signs of use.
