Vintage Deep Plate, Moulin des Loups "Bleuets E"

This is a vintage deep plate from the Moulin des loups kiln, from their Bleuets series.

Bleuets (cornflowers) bloom on a pure white plate. Surrounded by a "panier" (basket) pattern, there are also cute berry-like fruits.

It's enjoyable to contemplate whether the design reflects the beautiful blue of cornflowers or patterns symbolizing France, or if it's inspired by the Saxifrage family's "yaguruma-sō" (Rodgersia) rather than the Asteraceae family's chrysanthemum.

It is a charming and beautiful deep plate.

Condition: There is crazing and cutlery marks, and a chip on the foot rim. There is a small bump from manufacturing in the well of the plate with some discoloration. There is a hairline crack on the rim.
