This is a vintage deep dish from the Moulin des loups pottery, from the Bleuet series.
Bleuets (cornflowers) bloom on a pure white plate. They are surrounded by a basket weave pattern, with charming, grape-like berries.
It's a pleasure to gaze at it, letting your imagination wander, wondering "Is this a design symbolizing France with its beautiful blue Bleuets?" or "Is it inspired by Saxifrage rather than the Asteraceae family?"
It's a charming and beautiful deep dish.
Condition: Craquelure and cutlery marks are visible, there are chips on the foot, and a hairline crack on the rim.
Size: Diameter 23cm x Height 4cm
Period: Believed to be mid-20th century.
