This is a vintage dinner plate from the Salins Messidor series.

Produced between 1950 and 1960, this series is characterized by its charming hand-painted, gentle texture.

The rim is rhythmic and soft, like flower petals, and is accentuated by a crimson border, creating a pleasing tension.

The wheat stalks and flowers are vibrantly depicted, conveying the joy of harvest.

The deep, purplish-red color is subdued and mature, so despite the large pattern, it is not overly assertive and blends beautifully.

It's a wonderful plate that you'll want to display like a painting.

The stamp on the back reads "E.C.," which is believed to be an abbreviation for Edouard Charbonnier. Edouard Charbonnier, son of Robert Charbonnier of the Longchamp factory, served as president of the Salins factory from 1912 to 1968.

Overall, there is crazing. There are no chips or cracks, and some cutlery marks are visible.

Size: Diameter 24.5cm x Height 2cm

We have received four plates from the same series (registered as A~D), as well as deep plates and footed plates.
