Vintage plate Digoin & Sarreguemines Obernai A

This is a vintage Obernai series plate from the Digoin & Sarreguemines factory.

The highly popular Obernai series was designed by Henry Loux, a painter from the Alsace region of France,
and vividly depicts the beautiful streets and everyday life of Alsace.

This plate depicts a peaceful scene of people on white horses riding through the street.
Surrounding the central image, the rim is adorned with beautiful bouquets and ribbon decorations, making it a gorgeous piece highly sought after by collectors.

It can be enjoyed not only as tableware to decorate your dining table but also as an interior decoration displayed in a cabinet.

As a design variation, the landscape painting in the center of this plate and the surrounding flowers are printed as a mirror image.
This is believed to be an intentional design seen in some Obernai series designs, making it a rare item with a unique charm different from standard products.
