This is a vintage Limoges GDA ravière from the Chaux de Fonds series.
GDA stands for the initials of Gerard, Dufraissex et Abbot.
It is a porcelain ravière.
The "Chaux-de-Fonds" series is named after the city in Switzerland famous for its watchmaking industry,
and is thought to have been designed with inspiration from this place.
It features delicate rococo-style floral patterns and elegantly curved reliefs,
especially the gold-rimmed edges, which evoke the glamorous banquets of the nobility of that era.
With its color scheme and design, it is a charming piece that immediately brings Marie Antoinette to mind.
