Vintage Coffee Saucer, Creil et Montereau, Béarn (A)
This is a vintage saucer from the HBCM (Creil et Montereau) pottery, in the Béarn pattern.
This saucer features a "Basque pattern," reminiscent of traditional Basque textiles, with deep blue and burgundy-like red stripes radiating from a white base.
The central circle and surrounding lattice pattern evoke the essence of Art Deco and functional design from that era, while also exuding a rustic and warm French country ambiance.
It can be used with a matching cup from the same series (this saucer seems to be for a coffee cup, though it can also be used with a teacup), or as a small plate for sweets or bread, as a tray for accessories, or simply as a decorative display piece. It will add a touch of French vintage charm to your dining table or space.
Condition: No chips or cracks, and no signs of use; in excellent condition.
Size: Approximately 15.5 cm in diameter x 2.5 cm in height
Period: 1920s - 1950s
