Antique Cup & Saucer Silver Plated

This is an antique silver-plated cup and saucer.

There is a manufacturer's hallmark, but it is blurred and unreadable. I can make out the "METAL BLANC" hallmark and the hallmark for the gram weight of silver used for plating (8GR).

The large cup holds plenty, and its elegant, slightly delicate handle gives it an exotic feel.

The cup is decorated all the way around, and when placed on the saucer, the saucer's decoration is reflected in the cup, creating a double line, which is charming. This is a wonderful antique cup and saucer that shows the craftsman's playful spirit.
