This is a vintage deep plate from the Obernai series by Digoin & Sarreguemines.

The highly popular Obernai series was designed by Henry Loux, a painter from the Alsace region of France, and
it vividly depicts the beautiful streets and daily life scenes of Alsace.

This deep plate features a heartwarming scene with timber-framed houses typical of the Alsace region and a large gate.
The detailed depiction of the garden and the cart in front of the house convey aspects of life at that time.
Surrounding the central illustration, the rim is adorned with beautiful bouquets and ribbon decorations, making it a vibrant and highly sought-after piece by collectors.

It can be enjoyed not only as tableware to adorn your dining table but also as an interior decoration when displayed in a cabinet.
