This is a vintage tureen from the Longwy factory's DAKAR series.
The Dakar series is a beautiful harmony of Art Deco and African tribal patterns.
The patterns are drawn with a deep red and ash gray two-color spray stencil.
You can enjoy the unique decoration, and it looks sophisticated and attractive.
Dakar is the capital of Senegal and an important port in Africa.
It was a French territory until the end of World War II, so French is still spoken there today.
Condition: Shows cutlery marks and stains. There is a chip on the foot rim.
