Vintage Sugar Pot White
This vintage sugar bowl features classic decorations that stand out against its pristine white background.
Although the manufacturer is unknown, the elegant handles extending widely to the left and right, along with the plump lid, reflect the craftsmanship of the artisans of that era.
The body, adorned with smoothly curved relief, reveals delicate expressions depending on how the light hits it.
Its most distinctive feature is the "kannyu" (crazing) that spreads across its surface. These crack patterns, formed in the glaze layer over many years, are a unique "aged beauty" characteristic of vintage items,
adding an irresistible depth for antique enthusiasts.
Condition: Crazing is visible throughout, which can be enjoyed as a vintage characteristic.
There is a small chip on the rim of the lid's underside, but it is covered with glaze.
The lid is slightly small for the body, but this does not affect its use, and the condition suggests it has been handled with great care.
Size: Mouth diameter 10.5cm x 17cm including handles Height 12cm (7.5cm without lid)
Era: Believed to be mid to late 20th century.
