Vintage Tart Dish Villeroy & Boch Alt Strassburg

This is a vintage tart dish from Villeroy & Boch's Alt Strassburg series.

"Strassburg" refers to the city in northeastern France, close to Germany. It's famous for being where Goethe, Mozart, Gutenberg, and Pasteur once lived.

The Alt Strassburg series, with its elegant and beautiful design, is reminiscent of the graceful flow of the nearby Rhine River.

The beautiful flowers blooming on the plate and the smooth relief evoke an elegant and refined atmosphere.

With crazing spread throughout, the tart dish has a calm and gentle texture. It would also look lovely displayed upright or hung on a wall.
