Vintage Deep Plate Villeroy & Boch Fleurs des champs E

This is a vintage deep plate from the Villeroy & Boch "Fleurs des Champs" series.

"Fleurs des Champs" means "wildflowers" in French.
As the name suggests, the center of the plate features a carefully drawn bouquet of lovely wildflowers,
including poppies, campanulas, daisies, and cornflowers.

Similar designs for this series can also be seen from the French Digoin & Sarreguemines kiln,
but Villeroy & Boch's version is characterized by its sophisticated atmosphere.
Of particular note is its distinctive decagonal (10-sided) form.
Unlike typical fluted rims, its clean, beautiful lines add an elegant accent to any table setting.

Furthermore, the red border line neatly ties the entire design together, further highlighting the vibrancy of the wildflowers.

Condition: There is crazing due to age, but there are no chips or cracks, and it shows minimal signs of use, remaining in very good condition.
