Vintage Deep Plate - Villeroy & Boch Fleurs des champs (Flowers of the Fields) F
This is a vintage deep plate from Villeroy & Boch in the Fleurs des champs series.
"Fleurs des champs" means "wildflowers" in French.
As the name suggests, a bouquet of lovely wildflowers, including poppies, campanulas, daisies, and cornflowers,
is delicately depicted in the center of the plate.
Similar designs for this series can also be found from the French Digoin & Sarreguemines pottery,
but Villeroy & Boch's version is characterized by its refined atmosphere.
Particularly noteworthy is its distinctive decagonal (10-sided) shape.
Unlike typical floral rims, its clean and beautiful lines add an elegant accent to your dining table.
Additionally, the red trim line nicely ties the overall design together, further highlighting the splendor of the wildflowers.
