I've listed a vintage Villeroy & Boch Petite Fleur series plate.

Wildflowers that accompany your daily life. Early Summer Table & Interior with Villeroy & Boch "Petite Fleur"

This time, we will introduce a wonderful vintage plate adorned with lovely wild flowers, as if picked from a tranquil countryside garden in Europe.

What arrived was the "Petite Fleur" series from Villeroy & Boch, a renowned long-established manufacturer based in France and Luxembourg. Based on the backstamp specifications, these are vintage pieces made in a factory in Luxembourg in the 1990s.

This time, we received a total of 10 plates, including dinner plates (27cm) and dessert plates (21cm).

These charming yet somehow nostalgically warm dishes. We'll share ideas on how to enjoy them in table settings and interiors, making you excited to think, "How would I combine them in my home?"

1. Adult Subtraction Coordination: Combining with Different Materials and Simple Chic Tableware

As the name "Petite Fleur" (small flower) suggests, the design is lovely with pansies, daisies, forget-me-nots, and rose hips scattered across it.

One might think, "Will it be too cute?" but the bordeaux red line that colors the scalloped edge tightens the overall look, allowing it to blend seamlessly into an adult's dining table.

We recommend a coordination that consciously emphasizes "subtraction."

  • With plain ceramics or simple white porcelain: When layered with nuanced gray or beige ceramics, or pieces by contemporary artists like Studio M that have a slightly rougher feel, the antique atmosphere is enhanced, creating a modern country style suitable for contemporary dining.

  • With refreshing glass dishes and classical cutlery: For the upcoming season, try pairing them with clear glass bowls or antique-style silver cutlery with a bit of weight. This will temper the sweetness and create a cool, elegant French chic look.

2. Hotel-like One-Plate Dish by Stacking Different Sizes

The 27cm and 21cm plates we received this time are an excellent combination for stacking (using one as an underplate).

When a 21cm plate is placed on top of a 27cm large plate, the scallops and bordeaux lines of their edges beautifully overlap, creating an uplifting feeling reminiscent of a hotel dinner or a special tea time.

  • How to enjoy the 27cm (dinner plate): It's perfect for a main dish that utilizes its generous empty space, but also works wonderfully as a "one-plate lunch" for serving small appetizers, or as a large plate for placing a whole cake in the center.

  • How to enjoy the 21cm (dessert plate): This versatile size is most frequently used in Japanese households for breakfast croissants and salads, afternoon baked goods, and as a serving plate. Just one plate can make your usual bread and coffee feel special.

Made from Villeroy & Boch's unique hard porcelain (Villeroy & Boch Vitro Porcelain), it is extremely durable and scratch-resistant, making it a joy to use freely for everyday meals without worry.

3. Beyond the Dining Table. Wildflowers as Interior Decor

If you find a favorite piece, be sure to welcome it into your room as an interior decoration.

Simply leaning it against a cabinet as a decorative plate or displaying it on a console table or chest using a plate stand will instantly bring a bright atmosphere to your room, as if a small garden has appeared.

Use it as an accessory tray for your favorite rings or brooches, or as a perfume tray to arrange perfume bottles on your dresser. It also makes a lovely eye-catching piece in your entryway for keys and small items.

Petite Fleur adds a refreshing French breeze and a nostalgic warmth to everyday moments.

With a good number of pieces available now, please find your favorite combinations.

May small flowers of happiness bloom in your life.
