We've uploaded the Mary-Lou series from the Digoin & Sarreguemines pottery.
Charming Hand-Painted Ceramics Evoking the French Countryside (Campagne)
Thank you for always visiting our shop.
As the pleasant breezes blow, how are you all doing? Today, we introduce vintage tableware that embodies the atmosphere of the good old French countryside (campagne), bringing a warm glow to your dining table.
Digoin & Sarreguemines "Mary-Lou" Series
First, we introduce the "Mary-Lou" series from the Digoin & Sarreguemines pottery. Round, charming flowers are meticulously hand-painted (Peint à la main) one by one on a creamy, warm white background.
This time, we have a luxurious lineup including plates, creamers, coffee pots, and deep plates.
There are two different floral designs for the deep plates, so please compare them.
Even within the same series, the expression, size, and overall nuance of the flowers vary surprisingly depending on the artisan's technique at the time. Please compare the photos and choose "your unique piece."
Art Deco Beauty: Pots & Creamers
In addition to the rustic charm of the plates, the three-dimensional coffee pots and creamers feature a slightly angular, stylish form characteristic of the Art Deco period. Not overly sweet, their clean and sophisticated appearance makes them the centerpiece of your table, creating a special tea time.
FF Pexonne "ANNE" Series
We also have deep plates from the "ANNE" series by Pexonne pottery, which adorned French dining tables during the same era.
Blue, yellow, and deep burgundy. Vibrant flowers are freely depicted, and the burgundy brushstrokes adorning the rim warmly and stylishly enhance the overall design.
The soup plates, with their appropriate depth, are a convenient size for serving cold pasta, summer vegetable stews, or an abundance of fruit, especially in the coming season.
What Meticulous Craftsmanship Has Left Behind
All the items introduced this time were made around the 1920s to 1950s. The "warmth of handwork," such as overlapping pigments and brush marks, which is absent in mass-produced tableware, still lives on.
We have carefully prepared individual pages for each item, considering its condition (slight crazing, lovely signs of age, etc.).
Why not arrange your favorite dishes and enjoy a relaxing moment as if traveling to the French countryside?
