Charvet Editions Kitchen Cloth

Today, I'd like to tell you about my experience using the new Charvet Editions kitchen cloths.

Currently, I use three types of Charvet Editions kitchen cloths and a tote bag at home.

Today, I'll focus on the kitchen cloths.

Roan Interior offers three types: "BISTROT," "BON APPETIT," and "PIANO." At my home, I use these three types in rotation every day. They are excellent for wiping dishes that still have a few water droplets after being dried in the dishwasher, as well as hand-washed pots, pans, and my favorite dishes.

While I love all of them, if asked for my absolute favorite for daily use, I'd choose "BISTROT." This is because it's soft and fits perfectly into the small crevices of dishes. It smoothly glides into narrow champagne glasses, making them sparkling clean.

Since I can't eat out, I spend weekends lifting my spirits by having aperitifs at home or simply pouring ginger ale into a champagne glass.

However, this also doubles the amount of dishwashing. Housework time naturally increases, which is a bit stressful, but I can enjoy even these housework moments by using cute and favorite items.

Another favorite point of "BISTROT" is that it dries quickly due to its thin 100% linen fabric.

Even when completely soaked, it dried much faster than expected when hung up. Faster drying means fewer bacteria and better hygiene, right?

Of course, "BON APPETIT" and "PIANO" also have many great qualities!

For these two, the color and design are particular favorites.

"BON APPETIT" is 100% linen, just like "BISTROT."

However, this one has a slightly thicker, more substantial fabric. But it has become wonderfully soft to the touch with each wash.

Above all, the "BON APPETIT" written in French on the side is adorable.

"BON APPETIT" literally translates to "good appetite." It's often used in Japan at the same time as "Itadakimasu," conveying the sentiment of "Eat a lot," or "Enjoy your meal." When you're told this, if the person is a store clerk or someone not eating with you, you respond with "Merci." If it's someone you're about to eat with, you can repeat "Bon appetit" or say "Toi aussi" (you too).

Knowing the meaning makes you appreciate it even more.

I've recently started using this "BON APPETIT" series as a kitchen towel instead of for wiping dishes. I use it to dry my hands after washing them or while cooking. The reasons are its appropriate thickness and feel, and how cute the lettering looks when hung on a towel rack. Of course, it's perfectly capable of wiping dishes too.

The deep colors of "PIANO" are simply wonderful. It's available in four colors.

"PIERRE" means "stone." The calm gray exudes serenity.

"DUNE" means "sand dune." It evokes beautiful, endless sand dunes.

"FIGUE" means "fig." The fresh, vibrant fig color is a popular choice.

"MOSS" means "moss." Like moss that has grown slowly over time, it's a quiet and peaceful color.

All the colors have a落ち着いた雰囲気 and blend in seamlessly without clashing with other items. This is a thick cloth woven with both cotton and linen, providing substantial bulk. Fold it to create even more thickness, and stack several to transform it into an interior accent. Placing it visibly on a kitchen board or shelf naturally adds atmosphere.

It's also highly recommended for quickly wiping up large spills. Its absorbency is excellent, soaking up liquids rapidly.

All three types—"BISTROT," "BON APPETIT," and "PIANO"—are machine washable and dryer-safe, and can even be washed with hot water. (For specific temperatures, please refer to the product page.) It's recommended to wash them at a high temperature when first used, as this makes them more comfortable to handle. Furthermore, washing at high temperatures can help suppress odors and bacterial growth. For those who want to keep their cloths always clean, this is a great choice!

I've introduced the functional and wonderful Charvet Editions kitchen cloths: "BISTROT," "BON APPETIT," and "PIANO."

Was there a series that caught your eye?

I'll also be introducing the tote bag in the future, so I hope you'll look forward to that.
