Charvet Editions

Charvet Editions was founded in 1866 in Armentières, a town in northern France.

Armentières became known as "the city of cloth" because it has been weaving the finest linen and cotton fabrics since the Middle Ages.

Since that time, Charvet has specialized in manufacturing cotton sheets and workwear.

As flax was historically abundant in northern France and Flanders, Charvet developed linen products and expanded its range of linen types and market at the beginning of the 20th century.

Charvet became and remains the leading French manufacturer of industrial fabrics made from natural materials (kitchen towels, bakery fabrics, tent fabrics, bag canvas, etc.).

Today, thanks to technological advancements and manufacturing tools, it is possible to weave fabrics from 40cm to 330cm wide using natural materials such as linen and cotton, as well as technical materials such as polyester and HT polyamide.

This expertise has made it possible to create products specifically for homes and interiors. From kitchen towels to aprons, table linens, bed linens, and accessories (bags and cushions), everything is produced from scratch in French factories, resulting in 100% Made in France Charvet Editions.
